Would you trust allofmp3 with your credit card details?
October 12, 2006
I was looking to download some new music today, and found my way over to allofmp3.com.
They’ve got an impressive catalogue, and I quickly found several albums that took my fancy. Then I started looking for payment methods, hoping that I could use something like PayPal.
Although allofmp3.com have a couple of payment partners, I spent a good hour so trying to find one that would accept PayPal as a valid transaction. The Paysafecard site says that it does, but actual fact doesn’t. Which left me with handing over my credit card details to allofmp3.com as the only available option if I really wanted to buy these albums.
This put me off - with so many news stories about Eastern European credit card fraud, did I really want to enter my details on a Russian music site? Perhaps this unfair; despite the questions over the legallity of whether allofmp3.com is breaking any copyright law, their customers’ credit card details might be quite safe.
If you’ve paid allofmp3.com with your credit card, I’d be interested to know what experiences you’ve had.
